PROJECT KAHURANGI

Project Kahurangi is an image and video library we have created in 2021 with the help and support of some dedicated ocean conservation agencies. The end result will be a valuable resource that helps to power ocean conservation messaging for the next decade and beyond. This short video showcases some of the work we have done so far

SWIMMING FOVEAUX

Caitlin O'Reilly is the youngest female to swim across Cook Strait. She is also the youngest swimmer to complete the 40 kilometre crossing of Lake Taupo. In early 2021 she took on the brutal  Foveaux Strait and became the youngest person to complete the triple crown of New Zealand distance swimming. This is the official trailer to the full length documentary that we made of her Foveaux Strait journey. The documentary is available on Vimeo on Demand.

EILEEN

Eileen is 1949 American built Chris Craft powerboat. Crafted out of beautiful Mahogany timber she was in a sad state before being brought back to life by the team at Lees Boatbuilders. Painstakingly restored her style and lines are nothing but unsophisticated beauty.. This video commissioned by Eileen's owner documents the process from arrival in the country to completed project.

LEES BOATBUILDERS

Tucked away in the north Auckland backwater of Sandspit, Lees Boatbuilders are passionate about the work they do and in particular the restorations they have undertaken on classic vessels.
